ONI MONSTER
Context
Created for ONE OR EIGHT’s “TRANSLATE” music video in collaboration with production house ANTIANTIART.
Creative intention
Inspired by the traditional Japanese Oni, the character was reimagined with a more lifelike presence. Detailed skin textures prevent the prosthetic from reading as a mask, while deep skin tones blended with orange and brown create a more human, flesh-like appearance than the traditional red-and-black Oni palette.
Project narrative
A lifelike Oni character created for ONE OR EIGHT’s “TRANSLATE” music video in collaboration with ANTIANTIART. Inspired by the traditional Japanese Oni, the design uses detailed skin textures and a flesh-like palette to make the character feel like a living creature.
Role of PAFX
PAFX Studio was responsible for character design, sculpting, mould-making, casting, prosthetic application and final character finishing on the performer.

Process
The process required approximately 40 hours of sculpting, 8 hours of mould-making, 3 hours of casting, and 9 hours of prosthetic application and final finishing on the performer.
